Learn more about our dietary supplement specially formulated for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Super Spectrum Kids is a dietary supplement specially formulated for children with autism spectrum disorder. It has been designed to provide the nutritional needs of the developing nervous system with extra support for brain, blood, and mitochondrial health. The formulation also bridges nutritional gaps that may be difficult to fill with diet alone. Super Spectrum Kids provides the vitamins and bioactive compounds that support the healthy growth and maturation of the brain and neurocognitive function.

Why Super Spectrum Kids?

Studies show that the developing brains of children with ASD have specific nutritional needs, which is why we designed Super Spectrum Kids.

We know that it's difficult to encourage healthy food choices in kids, so we decided to fill in the vitamin and mineral gaps to give you peace of mind; you can rest assured your child is getting the best nutrition for brain health, even if they forget to eat their veggies today.

Super Spectrum Kids is designed to help your child grow and play in their healthiest way. We want to help kids be the best version of themselves.

We also want the best for your family and know that some children are sensitive to additives, so we made our formula extra gentle and to exacting quality standards. Super Spectrum Kids uses the purest ingredients and does not contain any gluten, soy, casein, or artificial dyes, flavors, sweeteners, or other additives.

Clinically Tested Nutritional Support For Brain Health.

We use scientific research combined with best clinical practices to nutritionally support kids with ASD.

Super Spectrum Kids contains the optimal doses and highest quality forms of the vitamins and minerals that are responsible for the hundreds of different reactions happening in your child's body every day.

These nutrients are proven by research and tested in children to improve focus and academic performance, nonverbal IQ, communication, social skills, and overall developmental age.

Children who supplemented with the nutrients found in Super Spectrum Kids also saw improvements in the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) score, Severity of Autism Scale (SAS) rating, and Communication, Social, and Daily Living Skills Domains, as well as several other measurements of behavioral and intellectual wellbeing.

These nutrients are provided in the highest available form for easy absorption and maximum effect - no more upset tummies.

Since these supplements have been vetted by doctors and parents alike, you can rest assured that the nutrients included in Super Spectrum Kids are not only safe, but effective for encouraging healthy brain development.

Our Solution.

The brain and nervous system are constantly developing in children, so we made sure Super Spectrum Kids contains the top research-backed nutrients to support the healthy growth of brain cells. Most children's multivitamins do not have the exclusive mind support ingredients we have selectively chosen for our formula, such as:

Acetyl-l-carnitine: drives healthy fats to high-need brain cells

Choline: boosts brain chemicals that form thoughts and memories

Coenzyme Q10: an antioxidant that amps up brain energy production

Inositol: calms mood via serotonin, our happy brain hormone

MSM: helps the body clear waste products and support healthy levels of Inflammation

NAC: boosts antioxidant levels to keep the nervous system running smoothly

You want your child to succeed, and so do we. To offer them the best support for their growing minds, Super Spectrum Kids helps children shine even brighter.

Optimal Nutrients for Neurocognitive Health: The Details.

Vitamins are essential cofactors for various enzymes that must be obtained through the diet. Several play roles in the development of the central nervous system in both fetal development and throughout childhood. Multiple vitamins have been found to be below normal healthy levels in children with autism, including pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), biotin (vitamin B7), folate (vitamin B9), vitamin D, and vitamin E. Some studies have indicated that children on the spectrum have a tendency to have inadequate intake of vitamin A and vitamin C as well. Vitamin B6 (pyroxidal-5-phosphate), in particular, has been indicated for neurological health in patients with autism. Supplementation with vitamin B6, often in combination with magnesium, is frequently used utilized.

Deficiencies in several trace Minerals have been linked to autism spectrum disorder. This is highlighted by the fact that adolescents with autism suffer from low rates of bone mineralization and adults with autism later have an increased risk of fractures. Hair mineral analysis of children with autism confirmed lower concentrations of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iodine, chromium, and selenium compared to their neurotypical peers. Disruptions to zinc metabolism are especially prevalent in children with autism. Magnesium is a cofactor for many enzymes and thus is essential for multiple cellular processes, including neuron functions.

Neurological Health. Autism spectrum disorder is predominantly a neurodevelopmental disorder. Although the exact causes and relationships between neurological functions in this disorder are not fully understood, several neuropathological markers and symptoms are associated with autism spectrum disorder. Inflammation in the central nervous system, abnormal electrical signaling, and disrupted synapse formation have all been implicated in autism spectrum disorder.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) has been found to be beneficial as it can cross the blood brain barrier and supports healthy levels of inflammation and oxidation.

Choline, a cellular membrane component and a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, tends to be deficient in the diets of children with autism. Inositol is also involved in the production of neurotransmitters, and with choline, can assist brain function when taken as a supplement.

Blood Health. Anemia in children and pregnant women is a strong correlating factor with the incidence of autism spectrum disorder. Similarly, several vitamins that are important for the proper production of blood cells have been linked to autism as well. Deficiencies in folate and cobalamin (vitamin B12) can contribute to anemia and related neurodevelopmental disorders.

Mitochondrial Health. Patients with autism have high levels of markers for oxidative stress and low levels of antioxidants in their plasma. They also have low levels of the molecules ATP, NADH, and NADPH, which transport energy for cellular reactions. Increased production of harmful reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inefficient energy production through oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) are indicative of mitochondrial dysfunction.

Mitochondria are especially important for neurological health as neurons use a significant amount of energy to send electrical signals. Supplementing with certain compounds can support mitochondrial health: coenzyme Q10 is a component of the electron transport chain and so boosts energy production, and manganese is an essential cofactor for the mitochondrial antioxidant superoxide dismutase (SOD). Acetyl-l-carnitine, after being converted into carnitine in the bloodstream, helps transport fats into the mitochondria for breakdown and attaining energy.

A critical nutrient that affects all of the previously discussed areas of health is Vitamin D. Vitamin D is an important factor for the absorption and homeostasis of several essential minerals including calcium and magnesium. It also controls the production of the neurotransmitter serotonin and the activity of blood cells.

Supplementation For Autism

Recently, the contribution of nutritional deficits in the pathophysiology of autism spectrum disorder has been increasingly appreciated. As such, very recent clinical trials have investigated the use of supplements to manage the symptoms of autism. Vitamin B6, folate, and magnesium supplements have been used to improve focus and academic performance, but the use of supplements which provide a greater number of the nutrients implicated in autism is a newer idea.

In one study published in 2011, the benefits of a multivitamin supplement on the behavior and neurological health of children and adults with autism were examined in a randomized controlled clinical trial, with promising results. This was expanded on in a study published in early 2018. In this study, patients with autism as well as neurotypical patients were given a multivitamin supplement over a 12-month period. Compared to placebo, the supplement, which has the same ingredients as Super Spectrum Kids, resulted in improvements in non-verbal IQ, Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS) score, Severity of Autism Scale (SAS) rating, and Communication, Social, and Daily Living Skills Domains, as well as several other measurements of behavioral and intellectual wellbeing.
